D. Scott Kenney, Principal

Mr. Kenney began his career in the mortgage banking business in 1987 with Walker & Dunlop, where he was employed until 1994. He then joined Capital Advisors and spent the next 10 years as a principal in their Atlanta office. In February 2004, Mr. Kenney helped form Medalist Capital, where he is a principal in the Atlanta office. He has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry.

Mr. Kenney is a member of the Atlanta Country Club, where he is on the board of directors and was the past chairman of the finance committee. He and his wife, Stephanie, have three children, and his interests include golf, snow skiing, travel and spending time at the lake with family.

Patrick W. Simpson, Servicing Manager

Patrick Simpson has over 30 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Medalist Capital, he was employed by Capital Advisors from 2002 through March 2004. He has also served as a Vice President for Legg Mason (1994 – 2002), Bank Southern (1991 – 1994) and Marine Midland Bank (1987 – 1991). Mr. Simpson became the Servicing Manager for Medalist Capital in September 2004.

Mr. Simpson has coached for over 10 years in the Collins Hill Athletic Association. He enjoys youth sports, golf and woodworking.

Stephanie Coleman, Senior Insurance Administrator

BA, University of West Georgia

Stephanie has more than 18 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before joining Medalist in 2011, she was a commercial account manager/administrator for Hamby & Aloisio, Lockton Companies, and Love Douglas and Pope. Her areas of expertise include commercial real estate, franchise programs, hospital systems and public entity insurance programs. She has completed over 250 hours of continuing education since obtaining her property and casualty license in 1996. Stephanie also received a BS is sociology from the University of West Georgia.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys baking, teaching dance classes and spending time with her daughter and son.

Julie A. Eisma, Senior Loan Administrator

Julie has an extensive background in banking and residential and commercial mortgage that stems back to 1980. Before joining Medalist Capital, she was employed with American Equity from 2008 to 2014. Julie’s passion is to provide superior customer service. She has two children, Bailey and Knute. In her free time, Julie enjoys baking, football, taking long walks, volunteering, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
